Found something worth printing?

Good starting points

• A direct link from MakerWorld, Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D, or another model site
• An STL, 3MF, or OBJ file you already own or have permission to reproduce
• A finished size, color preference, quantity, and intended use
• A deadline, when timing matters

What FDM printing is especially good at

FDM printing works well for brackets, holders, adapters, organizers, covers, prototypes, signs, personalized gifts, models, toys, replacement plastic parts, and low-volume items that would be difficult to buy another way.

What needs a closer look

Very tiny details, perfectly clear parts, food-contact uses, extreme heat, heavy structural loads, and safety-critical components may require a different material, a redesigned model, or a different manufacturing method. Printed surfaces also show layer lines; they are not identical to injection-molded plastic.

Materials and color

PLA is the usual choice for indoor decorative and everyday projects. PETG is often better for outdoor or functional use. Silk, marble, glow, translucent, multicolor, flexible, and other specialty options depend on the job and current stock. A specific color or effect can be requested even when it is not shown as a standard option.

Pricing and turnaround

Simple custom printing generally starts at $5 per part or around $0.40 per gram. Supports, unusually long print time, cleanup, hardware, assembly, specialty material, shipping, and file work can change the final price. Many ordinary jobs are completed in about 1–3 business days after approval, but larger quantities and long prints take longer.

File permissions

Many model sites offer both personal-use and commercial licenses. Printing a file for your own use is different from ordering products for resale. When the intended use is unclear, I may ask for the model link or license information before accepting the job.
