Find Your Replacement Mailbox Door
Three checks prevent most wrong-door orders. Use the listing photos and actual dimensions. Similar-looking cast mailboxes are not always identical.
Compare the curve and latch area
Look at the opening, top profile, depth, and overall proportions.
Measure width and height
Measure the front of the mailbox at its outside edges, and the old door when it is still available.
Inspect both lower attachment points
Confirm built-in peg locations or whether a bolt-on version is needed.

Built-in pegs
Peg-style doors normally use one hinge peg on each side at the bottom. Installation typically starts by placing one peg into the original hinge hole, flexing the door slightly, and guiding the other peg into place.
Bolt-on mounting
Several doors can be ordered with either built-in pegs or bolt-on mounting, chosen on the listing, and the large door is bolt-on only. Bolt-on doors use printed mounting holes and come with corrosion-resistant hardware.
Before and after ordering
When the match is uncertain, send photos before ordering so I can compare the style and hinge placement. Mailbox castings can still vary, so contact me if a door that appears to be the correct style does not fit as expected. I will review the measurements and determine the practical next step.

Measure the front of the mailbox, where the door sits, from outside edge to outside edge. Fractions are fine: 8 1/4 or 8.25.
Your width is larger than your height. Mailbox fronts are usually taller than they are wide.
Look at the two lower corners of the opening.

Can I replace only the door on a brick mailbox?
Often, yes, if the mailbox body and attachment points are usable and there is a compatible replacement design. Compare your mailbox with the available listings, or send photos so I can help check the match.
Are these metal replacement doors?
No. Mesh3D Up replacement doors are 3D printed from PETG plastic for outdoor use. Some are designed to replace doors on metal mailbox bodies; others fit specific plastic mailbox styles.
Will a door fit if the width and height match?
Matching dimensions are only part of the fit. The opening shape, front edge, hinge locations, and latch area must also match the design shown in the listing.
What if I do not know the brand of my mailbox?
Send a straight-on photo, close-ups of the hinge and latch areas, and photos showing the width and height measurements. A brand name is helpful when available, but photos and measurements let me compare your mailbox with the designs I offer.
What if the original hinge area is broken?
Send close-up photos before ordering. Some designs offer bolt-on mounting, but whether a replacement can attach depends on the condition and shape of the remaining mailbox.
What if no stock door matches my mailbox?
